Jingye High-Grade Steel has successfully completed its first trial production of 1800MPa automotive hot-forming ultra-high-strength steel, with all mechanical properties meeting design targets.
The product achieved tensile strength of 425MPa, yield strength of approximately 570MPa, and elongation of over 19% in the as-delivered condition, meeting the requirement of 1800MPa tensile strength after hot stamping and quenching for automotive components.
The technical team optimised process flows across smelting, rolling, bell annealing, and tempering to overcome industry challenges including performance inconsistency, poor forming stability, and high rejection rates.
The new product expands Jingye's automotive steel portfolio and strengthens its ability to meet customised requirements from automakers.
